Product & Spatial Design
Designer of light, form, and the spaces between.

Flux
grounded by lightA dive into the fusion of lighting technology and product design, Flux investigates how lighting aligns with and grounds us. The resulting product is a wall light you interact with physically, spinning it to move through the day's color temperatures, emphasizing user-driven interaction and a commitment to human-centric design.
An environment in motion.
I am driven by the power of spatial design to transform how an environment feels. Flux began from the idea that lighting can behave like an interactive installation rather than a fixture: subtly in motion, and calmer for it.

"I think there's just something special about an environment that is in motion, that we're more comfortable in, so long as it's not total craze." Lyn Godley, lighting designer & artist
Finding the gesture.
Concept sketching worked through wall-mounted and freestanding forms, testing where the light sits, how it is held, and what motion would feel natural in the hand.

Grounded by light.
The final prototype pairs a diffused ring with a weighted, rotating core. Turn it, and the light walks through warm-to-cool settings that mirror the sun.

Lumina
art meets ambianceA study of form and materiality in lighting. I researched how the lighting industry treats style, silhouette and material, then let that trend study drive the outcome: Lumina, a hand-sculpted lamp with an organic, shell-like shape that brings beauty and a sense of nature to a functional light.
Shells, sculpture, and soft light.
I gathered references across contemporary and historic lighting, narrowing to a mood board built around bivalve shells, carved stone, stained glass and paper lanterns. Form studies traced those curves into a shape that could open around a bulb.

Little Water Seafood, Philadelphia.
Lumina was designed for a specific room: a relaxed seafood eatery with a raw bar, cocktails and wine, where a warm sculptural glow could sit on each table.

Sculpted by hand.
Clay maquettes worked out the wall thickness and the opening. The finished lamp was sculpted, hollowed and fitted around a warm filament bulb, closing the loop from trend research to a produced piece.

Interiors
with Whitlock DesignsAs an interior design assistant with Whitlock Designs, I produce quick SketchUp models so clients can picture a space before it is built, and I source furniture, materials and decor that match each project's aesthetic and needs. Two residential builds below.
The home bar.
A dark, clubby lounge: oxblood glass tile in arched niches, black cabinetry, brass and leather stools, a live-edge stone counter.

The primary bathroom.
A calm, spa-like retreat: warm wood, fluted vanities, brass tile and arched mirrors, planned around a walk-in shower and freestanding tub.

About
I design for the feeling of a room, not just the object in it.
I am a product designer with a B.S. in Product Design from Drexel University, with a focus on lighting and spatial experience. My work explores how a product can shift the mood of an environment; how light can act as an interactive installation and turn something functional into something immersive and human-centered.
